Cláudia Leonardo joins Melo Alves as partner

Melo Alves  has made Cláudia Leonardo a partner. The lawyer will lead the Litigation and Arbitration practice in the Portuguese market.

"The addition of Cláudia Leonardo to the Melo Alves team of partners is part of the firm's strategy to strengthen its position in the national and international market in the area of Litigation & Arbitration, now adding a lawyer of unquestionable quality, experience and reputation to our project," says the managing partner, Tiago Melo Alves.

Cláudia Leonardo has a degree from the Faculty of Law of Universidade Lusíada, a postgraduate degree in European Studies from the European Institute of the Faculty of Law of Universidade de Lisboa, a postgraduate degree in Forensic Practice and Corporate Advice from Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and a postgraduate degree in International Commercial Arbitration from the Centre for Commercial Law Studies of Queen Mary University of London.

Her areas of practice are Litigation, including Commercial Litigation, Mediation, and Arbitration, both domestic and international, and a broad practice in civil and commercial dispute resolution, in particular commercial and investment contracts and commercial arbitration. With 25 years of experience, the new partner moved from Antas da Cunha Ecija & Associados, where she was of counsel.
