Melo Alves creates personal data protection and cybersecurity area and welcomes Paulo Lacão

Melo Alves announces the creation of the new Privacy, Personal Data Protection and Cybersecurity practice area and the integration of Paulo Lacão to coordinate it.

Paulo Lacão is a lawyer specializing in this area, with professional experience and academic work developed and published. He will provide legal advice in the areas of personal data protection and cybersecurity to Melo Alves' current and future public and private clients.

With a degree in law and a master's degree in law and management from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Paulo Lacão worked as a deputy in the cabinet of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the XXIII Constitutional Government. Previously, he worked as a lawyer at VdA - Vieira de Almeida for four years in criminal and administrative offence litigation, having developed extensive experience in monitoring administrative offence proceedings in the field of personal data protection.
