New practice area - Extradition and International Judicial Co-Operation in Criminal Matters
Melo Alves announces the creation of a new practice area - Extradition and International Judicial Co-operation in Criminal Matters.
Partner Tiago Melo Alves, a member of the Criminal Forum and the ECBA - European Criminal Bar Association, and Jéssica Gonçalves, an associate in the areas of criminal litigation, misdemeanour law, economic criminal law and prison law, make up the team for this new area of practice.
The team has been increasingly involved in international judicial co-operation cases.
Our experience includes intervention in extradition proceedings and European arrest warrants by a foreign/national authority, legal support for people called upon to collaborate with the criminal justice system of another state, people arrested abroad, the transfer of convicts, victims of criminal activity with cross-border links, the collection or sending of evidence to other states, among others.
