At the invitation of AECIPA - Associação das Empresas Prestadoras de Serviço da Indústria Petrolífera Angolana, our partner Rui Andrade took part in a workshop on the changes to the General Labour Law in Angola and their impact on the oil sector.
This event, which analysed the structural lines of the law, which comes into force on March 26, took place in the auditorium of the Higher Polytechnic Institute of Technology and Sciences (ISPETEC) in Luanda and was attended by representatives of AECIPA's 150 member companies.
On the sidelines of the event and in an interview with Jornal de Angola, Rui Andrade "considered the new law 'a balanced law', because it pays more attention to workers, as a result of a wave promoted by the International Labour Organisation (ILO), 'with a view to improving the dignity of human life and mutual respect between the employer and the worker'."
