16 July 2024 Tiago Melo Alves at international event as speaker on criminal investigation based on technology

‘Effectiveness of the European Investigation Order’ is the title of the meeting which Tiago Melo Alves as a member of the European Criminal Bar Association (ECBA).
European Criminal Bar Association (ECBA), which takes place in Venice on 16 September.

His lecture will deal with the practical and legal challenges raised by the first case in Portugal regarding the limits of the European investigation decision on the transfer of evidence obtained through Encrochat and Sky to national jurisdiction.

The international event of the European Defence Lawyers Association at the Council of Europe, is part of Source, a project funded by the European Union and dedicated to Union that is dedicated to strengthening judicial co-operation in technology-based investigations.
